Chick-fil-A To Help Ireland Nugent

More than a dozen restaurants will be donating to the Palm Harbor girl injured by a lawn mower.

A girl who was severely injured in a lawn mower accident will get some help from area Chick-fil-A restaurants.

Thirteen Chick-fil-A restaurants in Pinellas and Pasco counties will hold a Spirit Night fundraiser on May 8 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to benefit Ireland Nugent, a local two-year-old who was severely injured in a lawn mower accident in August.

The Palm Harbor girl was released from the hospital last weekend.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ireland Nugent and her family as she recovers from this accident," said Jane Melton, area marketing director for Tampa Bay Chick-fil-A Restaurants in a media release. "We encourage the community to join us in support of their family as we raise funds for Ireland’s recovery."

A percentage of all restaurants sales during the fundraiser will be donated to the Ireland Nugent Trust, according to a media release from the company. To donate, customers must write "Ireland" on their receipts.
