It's that time of year again when the community comes together to clean up one of North Pinellas' treasures.
The second annual Crystal Beach Wildlife Preserve Clean-Up will take place on Saturday May 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
The clean-up event, organized by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, focuses on the beach's preserve which spans 32 acres. The area is designated as a wildlife preserve, to conserve the prevalent mangroves. The land is home to many important Florida species, including the protected gopher tortoise.
