Family Of 3 Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash; Troopers Seek Witnesses
The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash in which a family of three died.

PALM HARBOR, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a driver who fled the scene of a crash in which a family of three died.
On Saturday at 11:37 p.m., an unknown vehicle was driving south in the center lane of U.S. 19 approaching the intersection of Tampa Road.
Bruce E. Johnson, 65, of Clearwater was driving a Nissan Versa west in the left turn lane of Tampa Road approaching the intersection of U.S. 19.

As the two vehicles entered the intersection, troopers said the unknown vehicle ran a red light and struck the Versa.
Johnson's wife, Lisa M. Johnson, 49, was ejected from the Versa and Johnson was partially ejected. The husband and wife along with their 18-year-old son, Glenworth M. Johnson, died at the scene.

The driver and a passenger in the unknown vehicle fled the scene on foot, running south on U.S. 19.
The Florida Highway Patrol is asking anyone who witnessed the accident or know anything about it to call the FHP at 813-558-1800 or Crime Stoppers of Pinellas at 800-873-TIPS.
