PALM HARBOR, FL -- FreightCenter’s second annual toy drive, The BIG Give, comes to an end on Dec. 17. The drive supports Toys for Tots in Pinellas County, a program founded by Marines to provide gifts to less fortunate children at Christmas. The BIG Give is the largest collaborative toy drive in the area.

Visit any Publix store in Pinellas County before Dec. 17 to donate during the drive’s final days.

There is still a great need – more than 2,250 families in Pinellas registered to receive toys to give to their children on Christmas day.

“As a veteran-owned business, we firmly believe in the Marines’ mission to help children in our area experience joy this holiday season,” said Matt Brosious, CEO and co-founder of FreightCenter. “We’re extremely committed to drives and events that support our local community, and are confident that all local businesses and customers share our common purpose of helping those in need.”

The BIG Give works to support participating stores as well as Toys for Tots by simplifying the labor-intensive toy collection process. At the end of the drive, FreightCenter collects toys from Publix in a 53-foot freight truck, provided by Smith Transport LLC, then delivers them to the Toys for Tots warehouse.
