Grand Opening Party for Sweet Caroline's Cafe on Wednesday

If you're a fan of the sweet treats at Sweet Caroline's, you'll want to check out the cafe that recently opened at the Palm Harbor bakery.

The new Sweet Caroline's Cafe is adjacent to the bakery. The cafe features a daily selection of sandwiches and soups and freshly-made desserts. Breads used in the sandwiches are baked fresh at Sweet Caroline's, which Rich Cannici Sr. says makes the cafe stand out from the rest because few restaurants bake their own breads.

So far, there's no set menu because the staff wants to be able to modify the offerings to suit customers' desires, according to Cannici, who is overseeing marketing for the new cafe. He is also the father of Sweet Caroline's owner Rich Cannici Jr., who is a former U.S. Marine who served in Iraq.

An additional display cooler is located in the cafe area that features a wide variety of sugar-free, gluten-free and dairy-free items made by Sweet Caroline's and Jacquie's Smart Foods. 

If you want to taste some of the sweet treats and other tasty items offered at Sweet Caroline's, be sure and stop by the grand opening for the cafe, which will be held Wednesday, May 22. Neil Diamond impersonator Bobby Palermo will also perform. We're betting that you'll probably hear Palermo croon his rendition of "Sweet Caroline" at the celebration!
