PALM HARBOR, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on a hit-and-run driver who left a bicyclist in serious condition Saturday morning.

According to the FHP, at 11:07 a.m., Dec. 28, Ali Orhan Yalcin, 74, of Oldsmar was riding a bicycle south on Belcher Road. As he turned left onto Tampa Road on a green light, he was struck by a silver Toyota SUV, which fled the scene.

Yalcin was taken to Mease Countryside Hospital in serious condition.
