It Looks Bad On A Resume

"Only 216,025 people died while I was CEO of the last company I worked for."

President Trump’s Center for Disease Control issued a report today saying:

“As of October 15, (2020) 216,025 deaths from coronavirus disease have been reported in the United States; however, this number might underestimate the total impact of the pandemic on mortality.” Trump, October 14, 2020, Fort Myers, FL, “Don’t listen to the cynics and angry partisans and pessimists.”

The CDC Report continues, “Overall, an estimated 299,028 excess deaths have occurred in the United States from late January through October 3, 2020... These results provide information about the degree to which COVID-19 deaths might be under ascertained and inform efforts to prevent mortality directly or indirectly associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, such as efforts to minimize disruptions to health care.” Trump said at rally in Iowa, “It happens. People have it, and it goes.” Except for the people that die. I guess for them it just stays.
This is not a hoax. It is very serious.

It looks bad on a resume “216,025 deaths from coronavirus” but you can’t lie about it. Your own administration paints a very different picture of what is going on in our country.

Wear a mask. Wash your hands often. Socially distance. Nobody likes it, just do it.
