It's Walk-to-School Day in Palm Harbor!
This is the first year officials have opened the day up to bicycling students.

Students all over Palm Harbor are walking or biking to school Wednesday morning in honor of an international annual "Walk-to-School Day."
This is the first year officials have opened the day up to bicycling students.
The annual event is meant to promote health and fitness, pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and awareness of directions, street signs and traffic patterns, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. Â
Five Palm Harbor elementary schools are joining 19 others in Pinellas County Wednesday. Deputies, school staff, administrators and community representatives are assigned to each participating location. Parents are also welcome.
Participating schools in Palm Harbor include:
- Highland Lakes Elementary
- Ozona Elementary
- Lake St. George Elementary
- Cypress Woods Elementary
- Sutherland Elementary
