Layla Loves to Play Frisbee and Catch a Ball!

Palm Harbor Patch is proud to help the Suncoast Animal League find a forever home for this great pet!

Layla is a border collie/hound mix who is one year-old and completely housebroken. She came to the Suncoast Animal League when her owner became ill and could no longer keep her.

Layla has a sunny, happy personality and just loves to chase balls, run with you, or chill out with you while she chews on a bone.  She would make a fantastic Frisbee dog or running partner and will be a constant companion!

Border Collies are known for their loyalty, intelligence and fun personalities. It's no coincidence that you see so many doing complicated agility courses and crazy acrobatic stunts on TV, work as search and rescue dogs, etc.  They have the ability to focus on complicated tasks, want to please their owners more than anything in the world and are happiest when they have the chance to burn off energy for a while every day.  She'll need daily walks, a fenced in backyard to play in and lots of interaction with people.

Because of her energy level, Layla might not be a good match for a home with tiny toddlers.  She's gentle, but since she's young, she does get excited when she plays and might knock a small child down accidently.
