East Section of Wall Springs Park Reopens After Blaze
A Sept. 11 fire that destroyed an observation tower at Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor appears suspicious, authorities report.

The east part of Wall Springs Park in Palm Harbor is open for the first time after an early morning blaze forced officials to close it Sept. 11.
"The section on the west side will remain closed at the bridge," Pinellas County officials announced on Patch Thursday.

Fire crews responding to reports of a brush fire at Wall Springs Park, 3725 De Soto Blvd., arrived around 7:39 a.m. and quickly located a four-story, 3,000-square-foot observation tower engulfed in flames.
The park remained closed Wednesday while fire investigators and law enforcement investigated.Â

The investigation is ongoing.
