Palm Harbor Fire Rescue Announces 2019 Firefighter Of Year

From Palm Harbor Fire Rescue: Palm Harbor Fire Rescue would like to congratulate our 2019 Firefighter of theYear, Luca Petrone! Firefighter Petrone has exemplified his role as a leaderin the department throughout his time here. What specifically stands out aboutFirefighter Petrone is his pride in the fire service and his duty to others.This past year he has worked hard taking the knowledge and skills he haslearned from attending several statewide fire conferences and not onlyimplementing them but 91100PHFR. His most recent accomplishment was the design of an app the departmentcan use to keep the department calendar, training dates, daily dept.information, etc. all in one location. Moreover, Firefighter Petrone maintainsa strong work ethic and positive upbeat demeanor. He's often seen settingaside his time to assist and train other employees. In addition to traininghis peers, Firefighter Petrone, has done a tremendous amount of workdeveloping new medical protocol for the Pinellas County Hazardous MaterialsTeam. He is also a paramedic and a member of the Palm Harbor Hazmat Team. Itgoes without saying, that Firefighter Petrone demonstrates the core values ofPalm Harbor Fire Rescue and continues to mentor those around him bridging thegap with younger firefighters.
