Palm Harbor Ice Cream Shop Makes Sponge Docks Sweet
The Sweet Spot opened its doors a little more than two years ago in Palm Harbor and has expanded into Tarpon Springs.
By Rachel Jolley
Palm Harbor's Sweet Spot is known for having gumballs on the tables and board games at guest's disposal. Now the name is growing and reaching north onto the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs.
Owner of Sweet Spot, Kim Verheyleweghen, 53, told Patch the business was doing so well in Palm Harbor that it seemed like the right time to open a second location.
Why Tarpon Springs? Verheyleweghen said she lives between Palm Harbor and Tarpon, which made the spot seem just as sweet as the store.Â
Store hours are 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Visit the sponge docks location at 735 Dodecanese Blvd #43 inside the Sponge Exchange.Â
