Palm Harbor Man Accused Of Capital Sexual Battery On 2 Children

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested a Palm Harbor man accused of sexually battering two children.

PALM HARBOR, FL — Pinellas County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested a Palm Harbor man accused of sexually battering two children.

Detectives began their investigation Monday after they learned a victim had been abused for about three years. During their investigation, detectives discovered a second victim had been abused for four years.

Both children, who were under 12 years old at the time the abuse started, claimed their abuser was 40-year-old David Prospere of the 900 block of Berkley Court North in Palm Harbor.

Detectives interviewed Prospere and said he made incriminating statements. He was arrested at about 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sheriff's Administrative Building, 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo, and then transported to the Pinellas County Jail where he was charged with two counts of capital sexual battery on a child less than 12 years old.
