Palm Harbor's The Defendants to Open for Black Honkeys at Citrus Festival
"The Defendants" are set to rock the Citrus Festival Main Stage Friday night.
Friday night's music lineup at the Citrus Festival ought to get the crowd dancing.
The Defendants, a group of talented rockers who are the house band at Palm Harbor's Witch's Brew, will get the party started at 6 p.m. when they take the main stage at the free festival.
The five-member band has been performing together for five years and leans heavily on 70s and 80s rock with a focus on "anything that is a lot of fun to play on guitar," says The Defendants Bass Guitarist, Jeff Beltz, who added that the band has added some newer songs to their playlist as well.

"This will be our third Citrus Festival appearance. It's always a good time and we love the carnival atmosphere. Lots of families come out and the kids and their parents seem to have a great time," said Beltz.
The Defendants will perform from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday April 5 on the Main Stage of the Citrus Festival in Old Downtown Palm Harbor (Florida and Georgia Avenues).Â
The Black Honkeys, who specialize in playing feel good Motown soul music, will take the Main Stage from 8 to 10 p.m. Friday.
