Palm Harbor Stars Compete on Dance Floor Thursday Night

Palm Harbor Fire Rescue firefighters have won the annual Dancing with the Palm Harbor Stars competition the last three out of four years. Will they continue their domination this year?

We'll find if Palm Harbor Firefighter-Paramedic Josh Lovetere is as good as his predecessors at Thursday night's Dancing with the Palm Harbor Stars preliminary competition and dinner at Harbor Hall. The top three finalists will be announced at the end of the preliminaries and will go on to compete in the finals at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 7 at the Main Stage at the Citrus Festival in Historic Palm Harbor.

The Dancing with the Palm Harbor Stars competition is one of the most popular Citrus Festival events. Thursday night's preliminary competition will also feature a very special performance from So You Think You Can Dance choreographers Miriam Larici and Leonardo Barrionuevo, who will perform a special Argentine Tango.

Tickets for Thursday night's preliminary competition can be purchased on the  Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce website, or by calling the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce at 727-784-4287. The cost is $40 per person, which includes dinner and 40 votes for your favorite dance team. The preliminary competition begins at 7 p.m. and will be held at Harbor Hall, which is located at 1190 Georgia Avenue, (727) 417-7184
