Just in time for weekend fun! The pier at Palm Harbor's Pop Stansell Park is open again.
The pier had been closed for repairs.
Crews from Pinellas County Parks did a great job putting in new decking. They also replaced the side rails with sturdy planks.
Crews were there Friday putting some finishing touches on the pier. They added bumper rails for canoes and small boats that launch from the pier.
We also caught up with John Murphy, who was fishing at the end of the pier Friday morning. It must be a hot spot when it comes to fishing. in the 10 minutes we were chatting with Murphy, he caught two fish.
