Santa Truck Sign-Ups Begin From East Lake Fire and Rescue

If you live in the East Lake Fire District and would like the Santa Truck to visit your home during the holidays, you will need to sign up.

By Tom Jamison, Fire Chief

Each year, Santa teams up with the East Lake Firefighters to deliver gifts to
children in the East Lake Tarpon Special Fire Control District. Santa rides
on the fire departments fully restored 1961American LaFrance Fire Truck and makes personal stops to children’s homes. If you live in the East Lake Fire District and would like the Santa Truck to visit your home during the
holidays, you will need to sign up.

Sign up begins on Wednesday, October 28 from 9 - 11 am at Station 57, 3375 Tarpon Lake Blvd., Palm Harbor. Organizers plan Santa’s visits based on the number of children at the stop, so have that information when registering.

Time slots fill up fast but if you can’t make the sign up on the 28th, call the Station 57 beginning October 29 to reserve a time. Ask for the Office Manager, 727-784-8668 option 1.

In order to see as many children as possible, we encourage a “block party”
approach so Santa can visit as many families as possible. For more
information visit our website (www.elfr.org) or “LIKE US” on Facebook at East Lake Fire Rescue.
