Veterans Day Not a Day Off for Palm Harbor Kids
Public schools are open in the county on the Nov. 11 national holiday.
Pinellas County school kids hoping for a day off have to wait a little longer to put up those books.
Public schools within the county are open on Veterans Day, according to the district’s calendar. Federal government offices, however, are closed for the day and there’s no mail service planned either, according to the United States Postal Service.
While Nov. 11 is a day for hitting the books, Pinellas students do have an extended vacation just around the corner.

School is closed Nov. 24-28 for the Thanksgiving break.
