Victims Slept Through Burglary at Their Home, Deputies Say

Investigators say Maciej Daniel Kadzialko, 19, of Palm Harbor took a refrigerator, leaf blower, edger and other items, but left behind his fingerprints.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies say a Palm Harbor man has admitted to burglarizing two homes, during one theft the residents were asleep.

According to an arrest affidavit, Kadzialko entered a home on Wycombe Way in Palm Harbor through an open garage door on the evening of September 11, 2012 while the home's occupants were sleeping. He took a mini-refrigerator, a JVC tuner and speakers, Sony DVD players, a Black and Decker drill, a Toro leaf blower and edger. The items had a total value of $500.

On May 20, 2013, Kadzialko entered an unlocked home on East Gate Drive in Safety Harbor and took money from jars inside the home. He then cashed the coins in at a Publix Coin Star and received $300, according to an arrest affidavit.

Detectives say Kadzialko admitted to stealing the money and said the resident was on vacation.

Deputies arrested Kadzialko on burglary charges on July 27, 2013. Kadzialko was booked into the Pinellas County Jail where he remains. Bond was set at $10,000.

The arrest affidavits say Kadzialko is employed by Magical Butter.
