DUI Crackdoown Begins Friday Night In Miami-Dade

Miami-Dade police will be stopping cars starting on Friday night into Saturday morning.

PINECREST, FL — Miami-Dade police will be stopping cars on Friday night in rolling DUI sweeps from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. in southwest Miami-Dade.

Detective Argemis of the Miami-Dade Police Department told Patch that officers will focus on the area along US 1 between SW 42 Avenue to SW 184 Street.

Colome said that the operation was being conducted through a Florida Department of Transportation grant initiative.

He described the operation as a high visibility enforcement of impaired drivers.

The special enforcement will be conducted by the Miami-Dade Police Department's Motorcycle Unit, according to Colome.
