Fire Threatens Homes In Northwest Miami-Dade

Fire threatened homes in the 2700 block of NW 21st Terrace early Sunday morning when two storage sheds burst into flames.

MIAMI, FL — Fire threatened homes in the 2700 block of NW 21st Terrace early Sunday morning when two storage sheds burst into flames. The incident occurred around 6:15 a.m. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said it responded to a 9-1-1 call.

"When the units arrived, they found two sheds at the back of the property fully engulfed with fire," explained Erika Benitez of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue. "The fire crews advanced their hose lines and quickly extinguish the fire."

Benitez said that firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading.

"They were able to protect the nearby adjacent homes and prevent them from catching fire," she added. "The search of the building found no victims and no injuries have been reported."

The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
