Kids Taste Slurpee Justice For Good Behavior
Miami-Dade cops will not only be keeping a sharp eye peeled for bad guys this summer. They'll also be looking for good kids.

MIAMI, FL — This summer Miami-Dade cops will not only be keeping a sharp eye peeled for bad guys. They'll also be looking for good kids who are doing the right things. Those kids will get a special citation and a taste of Slurpee justice.
Under "Operation Chill," kids who are lucky enough to receive one of these cooling citations can trade them in for a frozen treat at any participating 7-Eleven store.
"It's given out by the Miami-Dade Police Department in all the areas we patrol," Detective Argemis Colome of the Miami-Dade Police Department told Patch.

"The examples can be anything from wearing a bike helmet, participating in community events or activities, picking up trash and throwing it away, following school crossing rules and guards," according to Colome.
He said that Operation Chill is meant to create positive interactions between police and county children.
