Motorcyle Driver Killed In Southwest Miami-Dade
A man in his mid twenties was killed Monday in a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle.

MIAMI, FL — A man in his mid twenties was killed Monday in a crash involving an SUV and a motorcycle. The incident occurred at SW 115 Street and SW 137 Avenue around 11:20 a.m. Miami-Dade police did not identify the victim but said he was driving the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
"The preliminary information reveals that a red Lincoln MKS was traveling northbound on SW 137 Avenue," explained Detective Alvaro Zabaleta. "The SUV made a left turn on SW 115 Street and crashed with a Yamaha motorcycle traveling southbound on SW 137 Avenue."
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue pronounced the driver of the motorcycle dead on the scene.

Police described the other driver as a white female in her late 1960s. "The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries," according to Zabaleta.
Police said the north and southbound lanes were closed for a time between SW 112 Street to SW 120 Street.
