Palm Glades Preparatory Academy Placed on Lockdown
Miami-Dade police said the school received an unspecified threat.
MIAMI, FL — The Palm Glades Preparatory Academy was placed on lockdown late on Tuesday afternoon based on an unspecified threat, according to Miami-Dade police. The school is located at 22655 SW 112th Ave. The facility is a public charter school serving students in grades six through 12.
"MDPD officers are on scene and children are being released to their parents," Miami-Dade police said in a statement shortly after 6 p.m.
