The Hot Run: Come out tonight, Thursday, Sept. 19 to watch runners and walkers take to the streets in Pass-A-Grille. The first ever Hot Run starts around 7:20 p.m. - 10 minutes before sunset and 16 minutes before the full moon begins rising over the bay, according to organizers. Registration closed Wednesday night - but crowds are encouraged to come out and cheer for participants. The runs begin and end at The Hurricane at 809 Gulf Way.

PeeWee Sports: Children between 3 and 6 years old can learn the basics of baseball, soccer, football and basketball in the PeeWee Sports Class at the St. Pete Beach Community Center on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. The weekly classes are going on now through Dec. 12 and cost $20. For more information call (727) 363-9245.

Community Wide Yard Sale: Come out on Saturday from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. for the St. Pete Beach Community Wide Yard Sale at the Community Center at 7701 Boca Ciega Drive. There will be more than 50 vendors at the event with hand crafted and gently used items inside and outside the center.

Bingo: Every Thursday, The Treasure Islettes host bingo at the Treasure Island Community Center. Early bird games are at 6:45 with regular games starting at 7:45 p.m. There are cash prizes, free coffee and a snack bar.

More Stormy Weather Possible: The National Weather Service says Bay area residents have about a 50 percent chance of seeing scattered thunderstorms today, Sept. 19. On the upside, rain chances diminish a bit heading into the weekend.
