Fight Over Cell Phone Leads to Arrest
Keith Gentry, 45, has been charged with domestic battery

A Madeira Beach man has been arrested and charged with domestic battery following a fight over a cell phone.
According to the arrest affidavit, 45-year-old Keith Gentry and the victim got into a verbal argument that became violent.Â
"The defendant did intentionally strike the victim on the right side of her head during a physical altercation, resulting in the swelling and bruising on the right side of her eye," the affidavit stated.Â
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said Gentry admitted to deputies the two started fighting over a cell phone.Â
According to jail records, Gentry has previously been charged with two counts of felony domestic battery in 2006, domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance, two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer, two counts of resisting arrest with violence and felony battery.Â
