Four Rescued from Burning Boat Near Egmont Key

The. U.S. Coast Guard says no injuries were reported.

Four people were rescued Sunday from a burning boat near Egmont Key and Fort De Soto, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times. 

TBO reported, "The boat's four occupants jumped into the water when the fire started about 5 p.m. several miles off the coast, said Petty Officer Michael De Nyse."

The Times reported that after the boaters jumped into the water to escape the fire, nearby boaters pulled them to safety while the Coast Guard battled the blazing boat.
