Pinellas County Sheriff's Office to Dock Boat in St. Pete Beach
The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is interested in docking a boat in St. Pete Beach, but they need a sufficient dock to do so.

St. Pete Beach City Manager Mike Bonfield is recommending city commissioners approve spending about $20,000 on a new dock.
The dock, located behind the St. Pete Beach Community Center, would then serve as a spot for one of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office boats. Bonfield says currently the nearest sheriff's office boat is docked in Indian Shores.Â
“The closer it is to us, the more presence we’re going to have," Bonfield said.Â
He also told commissioners during the last meeting that the current dock is not sufficient and needs to be replaced for officials to use it.
Bonfield says the request will be on the July 9 commission agenda.
