St. Pete Beach Throwing Out Parking Tickets

A new law in St. Pete Beach will help alleviate the cost of parking tickets.

Getting rid of a parking ticket in St. Pete Beach will become easier soon.

City officials will throw out some parking tickets in the city with the passage of a new ordinance.

The beach town will dismiss the first ticket issued to a driver in St. Pete Beach if the driver can prove they spent $30 in the city at the time of the citation, WTSP reports.

This law will be a one-time only courtesy, and is expected to go into effect in September.
