Teen Rescued from Drowning on St. Pete Beach
A 13-year-old girl started to go under water, an unidentified man and the girl's sister pulled her ashore.

A 13-year-old girl was swimming in the Gulf of Mexico in St Pete Beach Sunday when she began to struggle with the current and the waves.Â
As Asia Pinkney started to go underwater, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, an unidentified good samaritan and her sister, Nataijah Pinkney, pulled her from water and to safety on the beach.Â
Officials said Asia Pinkney was conscious and breathing when they arrived but as a precaution she was transported by ambulance to All Children's Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies said they responded to a report of a near drowning at 2:28 p.m. Sunday at 5900 Gulf Blvd. at the Alden Resort.
The sheriff's office said Pinkney family was visiting Florida from Georgia.
