Lowry Park Zoo Has a New Star: Visitors to Tampa’s Lowry Park Zoo are in for a treat courtesy of new arrival Mavi. The baby African elephant was born back in July, but her name was just selected courtesy of Bay area residents who voted in a contest and the little bundle of joy’s Mom, Matjeka.
Pinellas County K-9 Demo Saturday: The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and Suncoast Fire Rescue are pairing up for a first ever Public Safety Day from 4 - 6 p.m. at Kolb Park - located on Bay Palm Boulevard between 15th and 16th Avenues in Indian Rocks Beach.
