Volleyball Clinics This Week: BeVolley is hosting two more volleyball clinics at Gulfport Beach on Wednesday, August 28. Aqua Zumba: The St. Pete Beach Community Pool hosts Aqua Zumba every Saturday and Wednesday. Saturday's class is at 10:15 a.m. with Wednesday's class ay 7 p.m. Cost is $5 for residents and $6 for non-residents.

You Can’t Wear That: That’s what some Pinellas County high school students are being told about their own school-approved cheerleading uniforms. While the uniforms are OK for sidelines wear, they don’t make the grade in regard to school dress code policies. That means cheerleaders who wear their uniforms to class are now in violation of school rules, according to the Tampa Bay Times. What’s your take on this?

Bucs Blackout: Buccaneer fans who want to see Thursday’s final preseason game against the Redskins are going to have to shell out for tickets. The team has announced the game is blacked out due to a failure to sell enough seats for the game, TBO.com is reporting.

Time to Dry Out?: Waterlogged yards might get a break from the constant pelting of rain today Wednesday, Aug. 28. The National Weather Service says Tampa Bay only has a 20 percent chance of showers during the afternoon hours. The likelihood drops to about 10 percent in the overnight hours.
