What's Your Vision For Indian Rocks Beach? Virtual Discussion Set
A virtual city commission work session for the Indian Rocks Beach Gulf Boulevard Visioning study will take place Aug. 11.
INDIAN ROCKS BEACH, FL — Forward Pinellas and the city of Indian Rocks Beach are holding a virtual city commission work session for the Indian Rocks Beach Gulf Boulevard Visioning Study on Aug. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m.
At this work session, Forward Pinellas staff will review the comments received from the community over the past year at multiple outreach events. The public will have the opportunity to provide additional comments on the draft report prior to the city commission taking action on the recommendations.
The visioning study will create a vision for Indian Rocks Beach that reflects the goals and priorities of the residents, with a focus on the Gulf Boulevard corridor.

“The Indian Rocks Beach Gulf Boulevard Visioning Study will give our city commission recommendations that will help shape the city’s future based on what residents want to see in their community and what they want for the future of Indian Rocks Beach. At this virtual work session, final public comments will help us provide direction to Forward Pinellas on how to finalize the study and ensure it reflects the desires of our community,” Mayor-Commissioner Cookie Kennedy of Indian Rocks Beach said.

This study builds on the research and recommendations presented in the Indian Rocks Beach Special Area Plan: A Vision for Growth and Development, conducted in 2009 by the Florida Center for Community Design and Research at the University of South Florida.
During the virtual work session, Indian Rocks Beach commissioners will provide direction to Forward Pinellas on final edits to the visioning study to begin discussions on how to take steps toward implementation of the study.
