18-Year-Old Plant City Man Charged With Vehicular Homicide
An 18-year-old Plant City man has been charged with vehicular homicide and racing and reckless driving after being involved in a crash.

PLANT CITY, FL — An 18-year-old Plant City man has been charged with vehicular homicide and racing and reckless driving after being involved in a crash Monday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 10:25 p.m., a car driven by the 18-year-old and a car driven by a 33-year-old Fort Lauderdale man were driving east on State Road 60 at a high speed when the 18-year-old lost control of his car and collided with the other car.
Both cars rotated, left the highway and overturned in a grassy area at 5503 Cassells Road.

The 33-year-old died at the scene. The 18-year-old sustained serious injuries.
Due to Marsy's Law, approved by Florida voters in 2018 to protect the identities of crime victims, the Florida Highway Patrol has chosen to no longer release the names of those involved in traffic accidents.
