3rd Teen Dies Following Head-On Crash With Semi Truck

PLANT CITY, FL -- A third teenager has now died following a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer truck on U.S. 92 Saturday.

At 12:38 a.m., Camilo E. Mustacchio, 17, of Dover was driving a Ford Escape west on U.S. 92 near Turkey Creek Road when he crossed the centerline and collided head on with a semi truck driven by Petar Lakic, 61, of St. Petersburg.

Mustacchio and passenger Lexi R. Lapointe, 15, of Seffner died at the scene.

Another passenger, Edgar A. Ortiz of Plant City, was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital where he died Sunday.

Lakic was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
