PLANT CITY, FL — There were no injuries reported when a private airplane crashed at the Plant City Airport Friday at 9:25 a.m.
The aircraft was attempting to land when it experienced a wind-related event causing the pilot to brake heavily before losing control of the aircraft. The aircraft, a Cessna Model 172, left the runway to the north and went down a shallow incline and into a canal.
Plant City Fire Rescue responded to the scene for possible injuries. It was determined that the pilot, Talin L.
