Pickup Truck Crashes Into Plant City Home

Two people were injured after a pickup truck crashed into a Plant City home Wednesday night.

PLANT CITY, FL — Three people were injured after a pickup truck crashed into a Plant City home Wednesday night.

At around 8 p.m., A 2001 Mercury Marquis was traveling on Trapnell Road West and a 2017 Chevy Silverado was traveling on Turkey Creek Road. The vehicles collided in the intersection, causing the Silverado to crash into a home and produce stand known as Ma & Pa located on the southwest corner of Turkey Creek Road and Trapnell Road

Two residents sitting in chairs in their living room watching television when the Silverado drove through the exterior living room wall and completely into the home. One of the residents was thrown five feet from his chair and the other resident was pushed into the kitchen.

One of the residents and both drivers were transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
