SJC Schools Fall Athletic Competition Begins Friday, Sept. 11

Stadium and gymnasiums will be limited to 30% spectator capacity to ensure social distancing to start the season.

The St. Johns County School District’s (SJCSD) fall high school athletic season formally opened with practices August 24. Contests will begin Friday, September 11 with all six high schools participating in football games. In alignment with the SJCSD re-opening plan, we will follow specific COVID-19 protocols with all athletic events. Stadium and gymnasiums will be limited to 30% spectator capacity to ensure social distancing to start the season.

Each high school will be developing ticketing strategies utilizing online sales. Masks will be required to enter the stadium/gymnasium until seated. Masks will also be required when exiting the seated area and whenever social distancing is not possible.

We look forward to the start of the season and providing a safe environment for all athletes, spectators and event staff.
