5 Things to do in Safety Harbor, Tampa Bay This Weekend

What are you doing this weekend, Safety Harbor?

1. Kid's Night at the Museum

Friday night, from 6 - 10, the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center is hosting a kid's night. "It's your chance to explore the Museum after hours! We'll curate dinner, unearth arti-crafts, have a campfire, make s'mores, play games, and more," the museum wrote. Admission is $20 for residents and $30 for non-residents. 

2.  AVP in St. Petersburg

From Sept. 13-15 at the Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg some of the world's top professional beach volleyball players will be competing in the AVP St. Pete Open. Play starts at 9 a.m. all three days. Play ends at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 p.m. on Sunday. There are fireworks planned at 9 p.m. on Friday. For tickets, which start at $10, you can purchase them online. 

3. Steely Dan at Ruth Eckerd

Legendary jazz/rock acts Steely Dan will bring their musical talents to Ruth Eckerd Hall Saturday night. "Concertgoers can expect an evening of the same high level of musical excellence that garnered raves from fans and critics alike," a news release said. The show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $79. 4. Get Your Irish On
St. Patrick’s Day isn’t right around the corner, but we’re half way there. At O’Brien’s Irish Pub in Brandon, that’s cause enough for celebration.  The party gets started Friday, Sept. 13 with live music and continues over the weekend. Brandon Patch has all the details.

5. Live Theater Old, Old School Style

If you like the idea of getting a lesson in history while taking in a live theatrical performance, stop by the old Tampa Bay Hotel (also known as the University of Tampa’s Henry B.
