County to Charge Fees to Pick Up Pets Given Treatment

County commissioners in Pinellas County approved a measure on Tuesday that will charge pet owners up to $150 to pick up impounded pets that are given veterinary treatment.
The owners of pets given treatment for minor injuries like bite wounds would be assessed a fee of $50, a charge that can go up to $150 for pets who are examined for illness or given major treatment like placing broken bones.
