Harbor Key Development is Completely Sold

All 19 units in the new Main Street development are sold, according to the broker.

Harbor Key, a 19-unit townhome development located at the western edge of downtown Safety Harbor, is finally complete and it's completely sold out.

According to broker Nancy Leslie of RE/MAX Realtec Group, the units were all sold prior to the development being finished.

"I sold the entire project," Leslie told Patch by phone. "Seventeen have already closed, and there are two more pending that are expected to close by the end of the month."

"We have 17 new homeowners in Safety Harbor right now."

Leslie said the development, which features four one-story villas and 15 two-story townhomes, was one of the most unique projects she's ever worked on.

She had contracts on 17 of the properties prior to the completion of the construction on the project with no model to show potential buyers.

"To be able to sell a property without a model, that is very difficult," she said. "I was so blessed with that property."

Leslie credits the work of the developer, DiGiovanni Homes, as well as the location for the success of the project.

She said Gus DiGiovanni, whom she has worked with since 2006, prides himself on quality construction using old-school techniques.

"I've worked with Gus for a long time, and he really takes pride in his construction. The quality of the build and the materials are very important to him."

And she said having such a beautiful development in the heart of Safety Harbor certainly helped make her job easier.

"This is such a great location, and Safety Harbor is such a lovely community," she said. "It's hard to find new properties here, so when they do, they go quick."
