Meet Mayor Ayoub for 'After Hours'

In July, Mayor Joe Ayoub hosted "A Cup of Joe with Joe," at the Paradise Restaurant as a way to directly get more input from Safety Harbor residents.

After 'A Cup of Joe with Joe's' success, Tuesday Ayoub is having an "After Hours with Mayor Ayoub" event at 6 p.m. at Nantucket Bucket, 519 2nd St. S. 

"It's an opportunity for people to come out and talk about issues that are affecting the community," Ayoub told Patch in June. "They can share their thoughts and ideas about the city and have a general discussion about Safety Harbor." 

The early morning informal meeting with residents was great, Ayoub said, but he hopes to attract an audience to the 'After Hours' meet and greet for those who could not make it to the July event. 

"I think it went great," Ayoub previously told Patch. "It was a good turnout and people were willing to share their thoughts and ideas on the direction of the city.

"I enjoyed the positivity," he said. "Everyone seemed to enjoy the opportunity to be heard."

Ayoub said he decided to do the "After hours" event after several residents requested that he do one after work hours.
