Pinellas Sheriff Discovers 2nd Victim In Safety Harbor Shooting
Detectives found Michael Robinson of Clearwater dead of a gunshot wound Tuesday night.

SAFETY HARBOR, FL — The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has discovered another homicide victim connected to the fatal shooting of a Safety Harbor woman by her son Saturday.
While conducting their investigation into the shooting of Susan O. Clark, 64, at her home in the 2360 Flanders Way, Unit A, by her son, John Clark, 34, detectives decided to interview an acquaintance of Clark's, Michael Robinson, 54. They arrived at Robinson's home at 2691 Sabal Springs Circle, #206, Clearwater, Tuesday at 5:28 p.m. and discovered Robinson dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Just before 2:30 a.m., Aug. 3, the sheriff's office received a call from a friend of John Clark's in Illinois who said Clark called to tell him that he'd shot his mother. Deputies went to the home shared by the mother and son, and found Susan Clark dead of a gunshot wound and John Clark missing.

Deputies began searching for Clark and, at 4:21 a.m., spotted him driving his mother's Volkswagen Eos. They attempted to pull him over but Clark refused to stop. Instead, he headed back to the crime scene and drove slowly past the home.
Deputies ordered Clark to stop, but he ignored their orders. Three deputies approached the passenger side of the Volkswagen and saw that Clark was holding a 12-gauge shotgun on his lap. They ordered him to drop it. Instead, Clark pointed it at them. The deputies opened fire, striking Clark several times. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
