Safety Harbor Art Gallery To Host 10th Annual Special Art Show

SAFETY HARBOR, FL – On Aug. 23, Safety Harbor art studio Syd Entel Galleries will once again play host to a special art exhibit.

"Special Art by Special Hands” will feature the works of artists from The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation’s art studio.

The Arc Tampa Bay is a nonprofit organization in Clearwater that provides services for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

For the past decade, Harborside Studios at 176 5th Ave. N. in downtown Safety Harbor has been exhibiting the work of The Arc Tampa Bay artists.

All art sales proceeds during the Thursday event from 5:30 to 8 p.m. will benefit the artists and fund art supplies and future projects at The Arc Tampa Bay.

“August marks 10 years of Syd Entel Galleries graciously opening their doors to show our neighbors the immense talents of our friends,” said Madison Orr Hauenstein, executive director of The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation. “These artists have the chance to shine during this evening, proudly showcasing their artistic talents. We cannot reiterate our thanks to Syd Entel Galleries and our supportive community enough.”

Guests will be greeted by the artists of the studio upon entering the gallery and served hors' d'oeuvres donated by Clear Sky Café along with wine donated by Sips Wine Bar and Syd Entel Galleries.

"Seeing the community support this event and watching the turnout grow over the last 10 years has been a remarkable sight,” said Ellen Pope, event chairwoman.
