Safety Harbor Couple Critically Injured Following Crash
A 55-year-old Safety Harbor man was seriously injured and his passenger, a 55-year-old Safety Harbor woman, was critically injured.
TAMPA, FL — A 55-year-old Safety Harbor man was seriously injured and his passenger, a 55-year-old Safety Harbor woman, was critically injured following an accident Monday on Interstate 275 in Hillsborough County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 4:50 a.m., a tractor-tractor truck driven by a 48-year-old Tampa man was headed north on I-275 when it made an improper U-turn, causing the trailer to strike the van driven by the Safety Harbor man.
Both the Safety Harbor man and his passenger were taken to the hospital.

The truck driver was cited for an improper turn.
