Safety Harbor Flasher Busted, Cops Say

The man is accused of exposing himself to several random victims.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies say the man who has been terrorizing woman around Safety Harbor by jumping out of a pickup truck to expose himself – and worse – has been caught.

Deputies arrested Jacob Lawrence Morris, 19, on Wednesday after he admitted to the three reported crimes. Morris faces two counts of exposure of sexual organs and one count of felony lewd and lascivious conduct following three separate incidents in December.

The case first came to light Dec. 8 when two separate exposures were reported, an email from the sheriff’s office stated. A third case was reported on Dec. 13. In all three instances, victims – two adults and one minor female – reported a man jumped out of a 2003 black Toyota Tundra to expose and pleasure himself in front of them, deputies reported.

“From the date of the first report, deputies assigned to the Community Policing Unit were dedicated to the effort and began to proactively investigate the incidents,” the email said.

Deputies were able to identify Morris as the truck’s owner. They paid him a visit on Wednesday in regard to the cases, which took place at the corner of Bayshore and Washington Street, on 3rd Avenue and again on Bayshore, near Safety Harbor Spa.
