Neighbors were expressing concerns about political signs in their yards. On the local Nextdoor, a community app they wrote things like, I’m afraid my property could be trashed, burned or I could be singled out for retribution.
Today as I jogged in my neighborhood, a woman walking her dog with a friend, exclaimed “She’s got guts to wear that shirt!” And said, “I can’t believe she’s wearing that shirt!”

I had hesitated in putting on my Trump shirt because of the many stories of violence it could attract. Then I recalled my Dad. A WWII veteran who fought Nazi’s going door to door in Northern Italy town. Surely I can wear a Trump shirt in my neighborhood!
With the shirt on, I have walked/jogged many times in Safety Harbor. Thankfully, I encountered the usual friendly greetings! No matter the position, we all have the freedom of expression. Let’s do it, we’ve got this!
