Sign Up For a Free Backpack Today!

The deadline to register for a free kids backpack full of school supplies from the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center is one week from today.

The Safety Harbor facility is hosting its 12th annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 10 at Safety Harbor City Park. Those who wish to receive a free backpack must register by Friday, August 5th.

In order to register, parents must go to the Neighborhood Family Center at 1003 M.L. King Jr. St. N. and must bring a photo ID, proof of residency, lease agreement, utility or power bill and Social Security cards for each child.

Also, the organization is looking for volunteers to help stuff the backpacks on Wednesday, August 7 from 9 a.m. - noon at Safety Harbor Elementary School.
