There’s Grub at Nolan’s Pub!

The popular downtown Irish bar in Safety Harbor has added a limited menu, prepared out back in Quinn's Food Hut.

In case you haven’t noticed, new restaurants and bars that serve food are all the rage in Safety Harbor right now.

Not wanting to be left out, Nolan’s Pub owner Craig Davide decided to get in on the action.

Davide recently began serving a limited menu of bar food after hours at his Main Street pub, and he says the reaction to Quinn’s Food Hut has been phenomenal.

“People have told us they really like it,” he told Patch last week. “Our food is different, it’s good, and our prices are reasonable.”

“The big thing is the kitchen is open until we close, so our customers can get food late at night when they’re here.”

The menu consists of a few staples, labeled as “drinking food” on the menu, including Shepherd’s pie, a barbecue pork sandwich, a Reuben and a Polish sausage.

Other items include chips and salsa, edamame, hot pretzels and “pub chips”, potato chips covered in blue cheese and oil and vinegar. They also have tacos on Tuesdays.

Davide has also recently added a “Craig Muffin” — Nolan’s version of the McDonald’s egg McMuffin — to the menu, and he says he and cook Clyde Edgison will be adding new items regularly.

It’s all being done in the name of keeping his customers happy.

“We’re not trying to be a sit-down dinner place,” Davide said. “We have bar food for our patrons.

“We just want to get the word out to people who are thinking about coming down here that they don’t have to eat somewhere else before they come.”
