Whole Foods Market Clearwater Hosting Art Show, Microbrew Fundraiser Events
Whole Planet Foundation hopes to raise $3.5 million for global poverty alleviation. Have artwork to donate? March 13 is deadline.

CLEARWATER, FL - Whole Foods Market Clearwater is hosting a month of events, including an art sale and a microbrew evening, to benefit the Whole Planet Foundation’s 2016 Prosperity Campaign to raise $3.5 million for global poverty alleviation.

The Clearwater location is having an art fair Thursday, March 17 through Sunday, March 20, where store patrons and team members can donate their artwork to be auctioned off during the art fair. The deadline to donate pieces is Sunday, March 13. All monies raised from the auction will go to benefit the Whole Planet Foundation.
In addition, the store will host Microbrews for Microcredit from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23. Tickets for this event are $15 per person and include two beers, brats, pretzels, cookies and participation in a silent auction. (Must be 21 years of age or older.)

Other events hosted by Whole Foods Clearwater will include a Protein Smoothie pop-up and a Shrimp Tacos lunch special.

Whole Planet Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to global poverty alleviation. Through grants to microfinance partners in the 70 countries, the foundation funds microloans for low-income individuals in communities where Whole Foods Market sources products, according to organizers. To date, Whole Planet Foundation has authorized $67 million in loans and has funded more than $ÂÂ50 million in microfinance programs, positively impacting 6.5 million people worldwide, the company said.
